Comprehensive Car Insurance

If within 24 months of the date of first registration, an insured vehicle becomes a Total Loss, eric may replace it with a new vehicle of the same make, model and series, subject to availability, or pay up to the Amount Covered.
If an insured vehicle is stolen, eric will reimburse the cost of hiring a similar type of vehicle up to the maximum policy limit, until the vehicle has been found and repaired or eric has replaced the vehicle or indemnified the policy holder to the extent of the policy coverage.
eric will pay up to the policy limit for emergency travel and/or overnight accommodation in the event of an insured vehicle not being restored to a roadworthy and safe condition by Essential Repairs following an accident, theft or damage, over 100km from home.
eric will cover accidental damage to someone else's property as a consequence of the use of an insured vehicle, for which the policyholder would otherwise have legal liability. Comprehensive Cover includes up to $20 million Legal Liability cover
Optional cover for front or rear windscreen damage up to $600.
There is a 21-day cooling off period from the date your insurance commences if you wish to cancel your insurance.
Eligibility
The following eligibility rules apply to eric's Car Insurance:
Vehicle is no older than 20 years
Vehicle does not have pre-existing damage
Vehicle is not used for excluded purposes (Courier / Business pool cars / Hire (including Rideshare) / Rental / Delivery / Emergency Vehicle / Racing). Please refer to the PDS for the full list of excluded purposes.
Vehicle is registered & roadworthy
Driver(s) to be licensed (as per the rules in relevant state or territory)
Driver(s) have an acceptable driving, accident and criminal (if any) record that is within eric's underwriting rules

Motor Vehicle Tyre & Wheel Insurance
eric's Tyre and Wheel Insurance provides 12-month renewable cover for tyre punctures and wheel damage not caused by an accident. Please read the PDS for full terms, conditions, exclusions and key factors before purchasing or quoting for this insurance. Additional benefits include cover for:
Up to $100 per claim, and up to a maximum policy limit of $300 in total during the period of insurance.
Up to a maximum of $500 in total during the period of insurance if an insured vehicle is immobilised for more than 2 consecutive days after authorised repairs.
Up to a maximum of $500 in total during the period of insurance if an insured vehicle is immobilised more than 100kms from home and repairs are not completed on the day eric authorise repairs.
There is a 21-day cooling off period from the date your insurance commences if you wish to cancel your insurance.

Motor Vehicle Warranty Insurance
eric's Motor Vehicle Warranty Insurance can provide cover for up to 4,000 components over 12, 24, or 36-month cover periods. Please read the PDS for full terms, conditions, exclusions and key factors before purchasing or quoting for this insurance. Additional benefits with this warranty insurance include:
Up to $100 for any one claim, and up to a maximum of $300 during the period of insurance.
Up to a maximum of $500 during the period of insurance if an insured vehicle is immobilised for more than 2 consecutive days after authorised repairs.
Depending on the market value of the insured vehicle, up to a maximum one-off benefit of $5,000 towards the cost of expenses incurred due to a total loss, such as additional travelling costs, meals or phone calls.
Up to a maximum of $500 in total during the period of insurance if the insured vehicle is immobilised beyond 100kms from home and repairs are not completed on the day eric authorise repairs

Cover Terms:
- 12 months: Car odometer reading must be less than 150,000kms
- 24 months: Car odometer reading must be less than 150,000kms
- 36 months: Car odometer reading must be less than 100,000kms
